Middle School Youth
Ministry
Our middle school youth meet twice a
month during the school year for worship, discussion, fellowship, fun and,
of course, food! Youth in grades six through eight enjoy a variety of
activities and discussion topics during the year.
Fellowship Fridays are held the
third Friday of each month from 7 - 10 p.m. October - May in the church
basement. We meet in the recreation room to play pool, ping pong,
fooz-ball and large group games. This event encourages youth from
the community to gather and connect. The evening is casual and any
middle school youth may bring friends. For specific details, please
call the church office.
Middle
School Lock Ins are held the first Saturday of the month. Youth
are encouraged to bring friends and join us for worship and reflection,
discussion, large group games including our famous Pig in the Pen.
Each evening has a discussion focus. After worship and reflection,
everyone spreads out their sleeping bag for the night. Breakfast is
served in the morning and youth are invited to attend the Celebration
Worship Service and the Christian education class. For specific
details, please call the church office.
Christian Education Class begins on
Sunday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. for all middle school youth.
Anthony Eggleston, our youth intern, returns as your teacher. The
theme this year is Old Testament stories.
The regional Mid Winter Rally held
in February is a highlight for our youth. The other high point each year
is summer camp at White Branch in August.
