JULY 2020 UPDATE

At this time the church building is closed and these ministries have all adapted to be of service in this unique times with stay at home orders. The Interfaith Breakfast still meets to serve those with food insecurity. Please visit the Downtown Food Hub Sign up to volunteer.

The Helping Hand Room and Good Samaritan Ministries are currently closed and are creating adaptive plans for when the church building can re-open. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We encourage all those seeking financial assistance to reach out to Catholic Community Services and 211.org for more information.

Helping Hand Room

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Free clothing, shoes, blankets, hygiene supplies, and limited home goods and sleeping equipment like bedding and tarps for individuals and families in need. Usually we also have clothing for children as well.

Sandwiches and other food items available as supplies last.

No Appointment Needed. You can line up starting at 11:30 a.m., but not earlier. No smoking while waiting for the Helping Hand Room to open, we are a smoke free property.

Newborn Layettes:  If you are pregnant, you can request a Layette (a bag of items for a newborn: blanket, beanie, etc.) when you are close to your due date. Come into the office or call  to request a layette: 541.344.1425. Please do not call earlier than 6 weeks before you are due.

Good Samaritan Ministry

Good Samaritans are caring, compassionate listeners, assisting individuals to explore new directions, implement problem solving and help connect them with community resources. We provide financial assistance as funds are available and when particular requirements are met.

No Appointment Needed. Office opens at 10 am and all clients are served in the order they arrived.

We prefer that people come in person to the church office to see a Good Samaritan. People who are on premises  will get served first, before phone calls. All financial assistance requests require an in-person visit to GSM or Catholic Community Services.

Hours:  Monday -Friday, 10 am – 2pm. Hours may vary and are subject to change. Remember, Good Samaritans are volunteers.

Sunday Breakfast

7:45-9:15 a.m. Every Sunday a free breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room.

Enter through the West entrance (steps go down to the lower level).

Pets are not allowed in the dining room. There are limited cages to put them in while you are dining. Thank you for understanding this is a city law.
